The best things made in America start with people who know their craft.
We're building an industrial company that gives those people the tools, support, and opportunities to do remarkable work.
Curafactor draws its name from two Latin roots:
Cura — Care, attention, diligence, and stewardship.
Factor — Maker, builder, or doer, derived from facere, meaning “to make.”
Together, they express a simple idea: making with care.
We believe great manufacturing businesses are built by people who take pride in their craft, care deeply about their work, and hold themselves to the highest standards.
Curafactor brings that same philosophy to ownership. We acquire founder-built manufacturing businesses, preserve the people and cultures that make them exceptional, and invest in their continued growth.
We are builders, not traders. We invest our own capital, work alongside our teams, and take a generational view of ownership.
People. Precision. Progress.
Built with care. Made to endure.

About Us
Brooks has spent his career helping healthcare and manufacturing companies get better, and he likes the people side of that work as much as the numbers. He has led companies in public and private markets, and he's happiest building strong teams around products that matter.
Most recently he was Interim President & CEO of Intricon, a contract developer and manufacturer of precision medical technologies. He led a restructuring that returned the company to double-digit growth and lifted EBITDA more than 30%, and set it up for a merger with a sister company in October 2025.
Before that, he was President & CEO of BK Medical, where he took a 40-year-old company known for ultrasound systems for urology and made it a global leader in imaging for surgery. BK Medical became the technology of choice for guiding minimally invasive and robotic procedures in neurosurgery, spine, general surgery, and urology. GE Healthcare acquired it for $1.45 billion in 2021.
Earlier, Brooks spent more than a decade as a securities analyst covering medical technology, ran marketing, business development, and strategy at a public medical device company, and worked as an investment banker on mergers and restructurings. He's a former Operating Partner at Altaris and an advisor to the Cleveland Clinic.
Brooks lives in Minnesota with his family and spends as much time as he can on the lake. He also keeps a gentleman's farm, which he'll tell you means he owns more equipment than he knows how to use.
Ian has spent two decades where investing and operating meet. He likes finding good businesses that others overlook, working alongside the people who run them, and building something that lasts.
Before Curafactor, Ian held senior investment roles at Ashler Capital (Citadel), Bridger Capital, Great Point Partners, and Versant Ventures, working across public and private companies. Earlier, he worked at Medtronic and Procter & Gamble, leading teams in strategy, commercialization, and business management. He has served on the boards of public and private companies, and he holds a B.S. from Miami University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Away from work, Ian is the father of two girls, which means he is outnumbered and has made peace with it. He has a place in Vermont and an unusually broad list of things he's trying to learn, from flying to fly fishing. He's a jack of all trades and master of none, which is why he enjoys working alongside the people who are masters.
